This course really offered some insight as to where some of my hang ups in my own communication lies and how to fix it. I think some of the examples that were given by the couples were relatable and gave me a good perspective on how to break the communication loops.

Defensiveness module was the most helpful one for me. I always thought I get defensive when my partner brings up a mistake or shortcoming of mine and I rush into explaining why am I doing or not doing that thing so the module on explanation vs accountability was a big one for me and I learnt a lot about how I am not defined by my mistakes and these "shortcomings" are actually growth opportunity. I am going to practice daily anti-defensiveness affirmations.
